(Microsoft fonts are available through the AUR repository, not the main one. If it is not already the case, you’ll need to activate AUR in the Remove/Add Software: click the 3 dots menu and select Preferences, click the AUR tab and activate it. You’re good to go, search for te packages and install/build them with a couple clicks.)
Microsoft has some really great fonts. To install them on Manjaro, you can search for ttf-ms
to list most the available packages — and there are a lot of them… without much information available:
The good news is that if you’re looking for the most commonly used Windows and Microsoft Office fonts, you need only two packages:
- ttf-ms-fonts, which among many fonts, contains Arial, Times New Roman, verdana and the mandatory Comic Sans MS.
- ttf-vista-fonts, which offers Microsoft’s Calibri, Cambria, Consolas and so on (I find those really great).
